Noblewins

The Benchmark For Public Art.

Our Story

Why retired wind turbine blades?

Noblewins was founded with the intent to set the benchmark for public art. By repurposing a virtually indestructible waste stream, we are helping to solve a global problem while creating a standard and reshaping the landscape of public art.

Our success comes from solving a shared problem in an innovative way – our team found the solution to transform thousands of discarded wind turbine blades into functional public art to be enjoyed across the United States.

Our benches, by nature, bring durability and a creative outlet to public spaces. We simply prime the benches to give communities, parks, and schools the opportunity to create one of a kind public art.

Ethos (Character)

At Noblewins, our knowledge base comes from our team’s history in the renewable energy sector. We intentionally select materials that have been repurposed (retired wind turbine blades, composite lumber, aluminum). We leverage the engineering marvel that is the wind turbine blade, inheriting a high-performance material that will not naturally break down for decades.

Our team of creative minds and seasoned craftsmen specialize in the segmentation, refurbishing, and reimagination of this material.

Together, with energy companies that are making the effort to close the loop on their waste, we are working with communities, parks, and schools across the United States to tell their stories on a retired blade.

We’ve mastered the transition from the sky to the street, ensuring that the same industrial-grade durability that once powered communities now serve as a permanent anchor in them.

Where We Are //

Pathos (Heart)

We believe public art is measured by the connection it creates when woven into the fabric of your community. A Noblewins bench is a front-row seat to a community’s growth, a curated stage for local expression, and a picture frame to the most beautiful aspects of you community, park, or campus.

We invite community members, park-goers, and students to breathe their own identity into a lasting landmark. We don’t only shape the landscape – we provide the heartbeat for the spaces where life happens.

Logos (Logic)

A single utility-scale wind turbine blade generates enough clean energy to power roughly 900 to 1,500 homes annually over its 15–20 year lifespan. However, the very durability that allows these blades to withstand hurricane-force winds also makes them a "forever" waste problem. By 2050, it is projected that 43 million metric tons of composite blade waste will exist globally, with most destined for landfills where they will remain intact for centuries.

Most disposal methods attempt to grind or incinerate these engineering marvels, but we see a different equation. We believe the math of sustainability is only as strong as the lifespan of the product.

We specialize in reclaiming the "root" of the blade – the most structurally resilient and technically complex section of the turbine. Because this Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) is engineered to endure decades of extreme torque and the most extreme weather conditions – it is virtually indestructible. By repurposing the roots, Noblewins creatively solves the most significant hurdle in wind industry waste.
